Sheng Yuan SY289 Set of 8 Heroes Assemble

Oops they did it again :). Maybe I was too quick to judge after seeing some of the characters that have been issued before.. Superman, Green Lantern, Batman, Flash.. but they have been issued so many times by almost  ALL China brand available (^_^)".

I almost completely ignored this set until I noticed a very small detail with the minifigures. Let's see if you guys also noticed it.

Yuppp, they are just another variants (with more fancy torso design and more detail on the leg) but the most important update is the printed side arm! oh gosh i'm super excited about this. pardon me~

Of course they came with accessories and weapons, but I'm less interested in them.

I know what you all think, and I agree with you. The print and the details are superb but for some figs (especially Green Lantern and Cyborg), their face (including the alternate face) look funny haha..

Now let's look at the print on the side of their arm.

Closer look:

I personally love Wonder Woman's arm the most because of the extra line on her left shoulder. These lego arms are very tiny and small yet the print is so sharp and clear :)

Anyway, one of Sheng Yuan's latest set of 8s that i definitely ignore is SY293. I've had a lot of Super Heroes variant furthermore I am not a fan of transparent minifigures.

Dargo No.844A- 844H Super Heroes

Guys, sorry for the long pause. The usual place where i always get these bootlegs lego told me that new stuff will arrived real slow till April. It is a bit off topic but the reason behind this is because most reseller in Malaysia hold/slowing down bulk import from China because Malaysian government will implement new tax system - Goods and Service Tax (GST) to replace our current tax system. Yeayyy~~~ or nayy?? ahaha.. I hope it is for a better future (wow.. so ambitious =p)

I know i keep saying please stay away from certain brands but i keep buying 'em. I don't know how to explain it. I guess it is the "buy now regret later" kind of thing. 

Please correct me if i'm wrong but I think this is the 4th set released by Dargo. The first one is the common superheroes figure (Capt, Superman, Hulk, Thor, Wolverine, Iron Man, Spiderman and Batman - I don't have these), the 2nd one is Ghost Rider, Snake Eyes, Wolverine, Iron Fist, Bane, Storm Shadow, Silver Sufer, Martian Manhunter (link), the 3rd one is the transparent version of their first set minifigures (link) and now ... these!

I don't know if the character do have alternate name but characters in this set are: Superman (black suit), Lash Line (Whiplash), Laser Eye (Cyclops), Wishbone, Green Lantern, Winter Soldier, The Punisher, and Hercules (Power Man?)

Winter Soldier. I personally prefer the one by Decool (link) and Lego version. But i don't have the polybag yet! It's too expensive!

Wishbone Crossbones (thanks @Anon.). I know nothing about this guy.. but i bet he has a different name. The crossing bone pattern on the torso is not centre and really bothering me.

Hercules. Could this be Power Man? I have one from "Doll" compared to Lego here

The Punisher. This is a total failure, such cape is just for super heroes with actual super power. I prefer Decool version much better. (link)

Black suit Superman. Isn't that "T" for Tor-An?

Okay, I think that's all for now. If you guys have question about quality of the plastic... just refer to picture below:

I let my kids play with the figure after i took a picture of them.. and that happened. The arm is super loose and the plastic is really bad. The hand is too loose for the arm.. it is really bad as if the gravity alone is enough to make the hand dropped from the arm. =(

as usual, i only keep the minifig and throw away the other bricks.. weapon, baseplate etc.

I think the red guy (3rd guy from right) has the worst colour, both the torso and face. he got clowny face. (eh, its not a word.lol)

i don't have original green lantern to compare because the original green lantern cost about RM1,000++ =(

KO Knock Off Brand Bizzaro

My hand automatically grab these when i saw them

As you can see from the image, its not original lego. My wife really against me reviewing them here because she think i should stick to original stuff. but i really cannot resist them because one of them is bizzaro (the right). Most of you guys might already know about it. Lego only produce 1,000 pcs Bizzaro during San Diego Comic-Con 2012. So its really exclusive and rare.

There's no way i can get the original Bizzaro because they are worth at least $250 (in USD okay).. and i dont think i can get the imitation previously because they are hand-made and limited. eBay. Priced around $20. So when i saw this bizzaro at RM5.. why need to think? it's $1.6 if we convert to USD. holy smoke...

Cyborg superman in the middle is purely custom. I dont know why i bought clark kent on the left. I have the original one. only RM50. Maybe it's itchy hand disease. haha...

There are 8 other imitation with the series. but i already have the rest so i'll stick with original. Say "Yes" to ori lego =p

These are what i have. All from 2013 set. Look at Clark Kent. He's a little calmer compared to Sheng Yuan brand.

i hope china didn't produce imitation these much in such period of time. it's not good for me.. i already read somewhere that we might get imitation green lantern later. As you can already guess.. Green lantern also is one of the exclusive and limited minifigure given during San Diego Comic Con 2011 and New York Comic Con 2011. wait .. wait... not only actually there will be one green lantern imitation, but 8!!

I already wrote before about imitation ironman but its different brand.. Sheng Yuan.

There's one main diff with these two - the leg. Sheng Yuan on the left and Decool is on the right.

Decool KO brand almost close to original. =(

weird fact: Sheng Yan only have one side printed face meanwhile Decool have dual side face. heheh
