Comparison of AOU minifigures - Decool Vs Sheng Yuan Vs Lego

Hi guys. I really miss all of you and this blog. I had attended a course organized by my office during the week and I had no chance at all to make a review on the new knock-off Lego set/minifigures. oh not to forget all the comments too.. there are still some that I have not responded.

As promised, even though it took me very long time to come up with this post, (sorry!!) the following is a comparison of Age of Ultron (AOU) minifigures issued by Decool, Sheng Yuan and Lego.

Decool has issued 12 17 AOU minifigure from set 0205-02100217-0222 and 0223-0228 while Sheng Yuan has issued 24 AOU minifigure from set SY271, SY275 and SY276.

[update] There are additional 5 AOU minifigure (not in the picture) from 0205-0210 that is reviewed after this post was made.

Here's the comparison of 12 figure from Decool with Sheng Yuan's and Lego.

I don't have the original Lego figure so i use pic from Bricklink for these 2:

[update@August 22nd, 2015]
Thanks to @RHM for reminding me to take a side picture of Maria Hill. I forgot that she had right arm with prints:

Both from SY and Decool have printed Shield logo on the arm, just like the original Lego. The position of logo on Decool figure is more accurate than SY but print quality is better in SY's figure.

That's all for today. I will review Lele's Jurrasic World minifigures (set of 8), Decool super heroes 0211-0216 (set of 6), and the tiny hulkbuster SY360A and SY360B in the next post. once again I'm sorry for the delay in updating this blog and have a good weekend :)

Decool 0230 Gorilla Grood

I get this set together with Darkseid - Decool 0229, but to make it easier for me to organise the entry on this blog, I will make a review of them separately.

Both of his arm and hand still attached to the plastic rack

Decool Modern War 308, 309, 310, 311

It's been a while since Decool release anything. Recent set before this set im going to review should be Ninjago minifigures (but i don't have it) and Minecraft minifigures (i have this one, but havn't review it lol)

Decool already release 3 Wodern War minifigures before - Decool 301, 302 and 303. So the next series should be 304, 305, 306 and 307. However i received these first:
  • 308 - American Support
  • 309 - American Engineer
  • 310 - American Assault
  • 311 - American Recon

I bet the other set is in another cargo container on its way to Malaysia shore so in the meantime, lets have a look at these first.

Images of the boxes:

Lucky us, there's a piece of catalog inside each box showing minifigures and other set in Modern War theme. I already review 2111 and 2112 here.

As usual, the parts are sealed in plastic packaging:

How they looks like with bare eyes:

Looks nice, ya? How about some truth? Let me zoom in a bit.

Picture speaks for itself. Printing on all the torso is really bad. Some say Decool purposely done it because they are military figure so their shirt cannot look that "clean" and clear. but i don't buy it =(

Alternate face:

Side print on the arms and legs looks nice. Each figure have different design printed on their arms and legs.

Weapons that come with each minifigures:

All the accessories and weapons in this set combined:

Last but not least, how they look like with the vest on:

Plastic used for the vest is superb. It's thicker than plastic used for vest in previous Decool 301, 302 and 303 set. However…. i have bad news. Some might skip this set because of this. Most of the figures in this set have loose legs!! OMG. I'm not sure if it's just my set. I hope other batch won't have this problem.

What do you think about this? I hope next camouflaged army set by Sheng Yuan  will not disappoint me.

Lego's San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Rocket Raccoon Warbird

Hey guys! Look at my Lego SDCC Rocket Raccoon. I'm soooooo lucky to have it plus at really good price =)

Nah, just kidding =p

The box size is 9.5 inch x 7.5inch x 2.2 inch. Looks exclusive enough to me. lol

The printed manual in booklet form:

front cover, first and last page, back cover

Took me less than 20 minutes to assemble it:

View from top;

The wing is adjustable. This is the maximum angle i can spread it out

The plastic is good, however some parts are easily fall off. Please refer those parts that i circled in red below.

I might use kragle anytime soon to make it permanent lol.

I can't believe this day has finally came. The quality of the minifigure is realllly bad. I already noticed this when reviewing their latest super heroes set 0192 - 0197 (link - please refer Lego Bane figure).

I can't remember since when their quality is questionable but as far as i can remember, their Guardians of The Galaxy minifigures set is quite good, with dual sided faces and all (link)

Please refer few spot that i circled in red below. I don't know what to say. Maybe Sheng Yuan is getting better or Decool simply becoming worse.

Anyway, i got my red suit RR from this polybag:

This is the extra parts. Some parts are not even used in the original Lego set. I'm not sure why Decool include them.

This is how the box image looks like for the original Lego set. Have a look at the price too O_o
