GBL KY98508 Military Figure - 16 characters

Box with this size usually consists of 2 complete set of 8. GBL however, have shown us their ability to produce 16 military characters in their most recent minifigures set.





We can categorize these minifigures into 4 team, according to their torso and leg colour. I'm not sure what it says on the box but I will label the category in my own way >_<.

This post will contain A LOT of pictures. so i will limit my words. lol


KY98508-1 to KY98508-4: Blue Team











KY98508-5 to KY98508-8: Brown Team








Only set that contains a gatling gun will come with instructions manual.


I thought if I missed anything when assembling this. The gatling gun looks super weird when mounted on a tripod. It's too low for a minifigure therefore it will be lifted when a minifigure hold the handle.






KY98508-9 to KY98508-12: Grey Team











KY98508-13 to KY98508-16: Green Team

Probably because of its colour, this set is my favourite.












Parts for the minifigures come in sealed bag while the accessories and weapons affixed to the plastic rack.



I honestly was not impressed with the minifigures (but I really like the camouflaged vest). The camouflaged pattern on the body is too simple and the night vision goggles is too loose for the helmet. =(. very loose.



The only plus point with this set is each figure comes with a tactical watch >_<. Very unique IMHO. I believe its not ordinary watch, that's why i add word "tactical" to the part's name.. heheh



Update on November 11, 2015:
I just got an update from @crossmr regarding this set. If you are looking for a  nice transporter to match with the minifigure, you can get this hummer together with the set. 


I believe the size is bigger than Decool 2111. The constructions and size is about the same with GBL's Humvee KY98403 (aliexpress)

    I prefer the falcon commandos so much more. I'm afraid of GBL now after checking out the GBL swat. Their plastic is so inferior to Lele- especially goggle attachments. Everything just breaks. Lele did such a great job with their first swat set using the 3 piece goggle attachments. They've gone down hill eversince they switched to the one ugly big piece attachment for goggles. However, it is still much better than GBL here in my opinion.

      Hi @breezyspirit. Our favourite is the same :).

      for design, i think falcon commandos has the best camouflaged pattern. for plastic, Sheng Yuan>Lele>GBL, imho.

      hmm, actually this is quite strange because some say GBL is from Kazi. Kazi is quite well known and long established brand. so the quality of the plastic should be quite good.

      I found that to be odd too. I'm new to Kazi so GLB's plastic really surprised me. Your reviews got me super interested in SY and Lele though : ) !

      I started collecting Oxford as well. Do you know these guys? Their pricing is nowhere as cheap as SY or Leles but omg their sets are awesome! Their range of military sets are sooo much better than Kazi.

      They did not switch the connections for the night vision goggles, they just copied more than one type of Si-dan night vision goggles. some are 1 piece and some are 2 or three.

      Thanks for the heads up on that. I hope they produce sets with the 3 piece attachments in the future : ). Their 2nd series didn't have any 3 piece goggles.

    Woah hahah pretty impressive figs but hows the plastic quality?, By the way I like the blue and grey team and that diver tho i think its a must if its worth it, How much did it cause for this set? Thanks :D

    You've got the handles on your mini-gun on upside down. Flip them and remove the minifigure base and it should sit fine. Also, your putting the top half of your night vision goggles on wrong. Look closely at your close up picture and you'll see a half cylinder channel in between the two eyepieces. Right now it's facing up, flip it and match that channel to the cylinder that is sticking out on the front of the clip and it should fit.

      Hi there :) my oh my,. I feel so embarrassed. but thank you very much for correcting me. perhaps because there are too many minifigures to assemble (with so many weapon/accessories) that I lost focus because i try to finish them in one night.. ahaha..

      Arrived on the 16th, probably the fastest anything I've ordered came through customs and aside from getting one sprue of weapons that didn't match the ones that were supposed to come with that figure, everything was perfect!

      hm, tough choices. can I admit that the plastic quality is comparable to sheng yuan? heheh. but there's one part inside me saying plastic of SY is better.

    Did you know this set is also sold bundled with a humvee in china? Price is around $20. I'm considering to order it as I've now got a way to directly order things from inside china. Much cheaper than aliexpress.

      I'm more envy that you found a way to get them a cheaper price compared to aliexpress. ahaha. lucky you. i bet you will save a lot because no longer need to go through an intermediary, and direct from china too.
