Lego Ironman with Light-up Arc Reactor

New brand that i found today - LeTai. I bought these because the led light is located at their arc reactor, not the usual place where the lego key light led is - the leg.

There are 2 set available, 6 figure in each set. but i only buy one set to try. I choose this set because i love the white ironman =p

Please don't confuse with the size. it's bigger than the normal lego figure. They are the same size with Lego LED key light

Comparison with average size lego minifigure:

For display purposes, they look great. however the quality and built is lousy as usual. Very loose arm/leg, and for my figure, i can easily cut open the head  and expose his brain when i try to remove the mask =p

I'm trying to get another set of 6 that have war machine and iron patriot =)

How can Lego do this to us me. Single production run for this awesome set??

After reading AFOL reaction all over the world, my chances (in Malaysia) getting the set just drop from slim to nil. I want the minifigures! Green spacesuits with Classic Space logo??? Oh gosh!!! They will be 2 minifigures in this set - 

They will be a great addition to my classic spaceman minifigures and benny =).

Lego Superheroes Avengers - Bootleg version

This set caught my eyes because Sheng Yuan use non-lego image on the boxes. Superheroes in these set of 8 are: Black Widow, Hawkeye, Iron Man, Hulk, Falcon, Thor, Captain America, and Nick Fury.

For this set, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Iron Man, Captain America, and Nick Fury have different torso design compared to version of Lego. I'm interested to compare bootleg with lego side by side so let's focus on The Hulk, Falcon, and Thor.

IMHO, Sheng Yuan version of Hulk is very unique. He look like the normal big size hulk but look at his part here. Sheng Yuan make the head and hairpiece detachable.

Too bad Decool don't have hulk in purple pant =(. But from these images, it can be conclude that both bootleg hulk have "shinier" green body than original Lego. Sheng Yuan's Hulk also has additional battle scar on the chest and abdomen, and some at the back but hard to see with my cheap camera. haha.. They all look almost the same, but have closer look on Sheng Yuan's Hulk (right) - the gap between hair and his back.

For the other two figure, also from 76018 - Hulk Lab Smash, i will have the original lego on the right and Sheng Yuan on left.

they look almost the same but original lego has darker colour. If you zoom in closer, you may find "lego" word carved on it.

Knock off Lego World Cup!

I think my theory is right. Sheng yuan is the fastest to introduce new design or imitation before other brand sell the same character. But this time its world cup theme. I believe this is the first of its theme. Lego did have soccee/football set in their sports theme but they do not label the character uaing the actual country that participate in world cup. I myself have a few lego coca cola figure =)

Knock off on the left, the original on rhe right. Amazingly, knock off lego ball is symmetrical as compared to original lego. 

Bootleg Lego Hobbit by Lele

Found another box of bootleg Lego Hobbit imitation - also by Lele. Lele pack them the same like The Lego Movie that i bought a few days before

Only this box has the cape outside the wrapping. If you are unlucky, the cape will easily fell of the box from the gap

For all these comparison, i will have original lego on the right and Lele's on the left. I didnt put the cape on and wear them any accessories because i want to focus on their torso/leg assembly design and mould shape. 

The arm of bootleg Legolas has orangish color =p

This is close up on the original lego.  I'm really amaze with such details and  really fell in love with it. 

wow.. Wow.  The color of bootleg figure is soo wrong. 

Looks like Lele dont bother to imitate the exact same expression of the original figure

The green part on the leg of bootleg figure is different tone with the torso

The design is the same but the color is different. Even the hand also is different color

After having all these 8 figures compared, it can be conclude that Lele is copying the exact same design from the original figure by lego. However, most of the knock off/bootleg figure can easily be spotted because of their wierd color, lack of details (mostly have bolder line on their torso design)  and for some figure,  they have different face expression after all. If we have closer look, we can see that some design have their color printed offside the intended area. 

Lele has the same 'X'  shape inside the torso and the leg assembly for shorter minifigure also is same with lego. However, they will never have 'Lego'  wording carved on their body parts.  So just find those logo if you want to seek the truth =p
