This is a copy/imitation/knock-off/you-name-it of Lego set #7787 (640pcs) The Bat-Tank: The Riddler and Bane's Hideout from year 2007! I got this set at RM80 (less than USD20!)
The price of this set when released in 2007 was $49.99 but 8 years later, the price had risen to $578.00(ebay). This is just insane.

As you can see from the image above, Decool only imitate the Bat-Tank with Batman and The Riddler minifigures. (no Bane, no dirt bike and no gate)
The box is huge! The box size is 35cmx43cmx6cm so the volumetric weight for this set is about 1.5 kilos (^_^)'. If you are interested to have this set, please ask the seller to send this set without the box or you had to pay unnecessary weight because of the box size.

Excess parts:
Decool completely overlooked this matter. They think their quality control are comparable to Lego. ahaha. This set require 158 pieces (79 pieces x 2 side) of this "Link Tread" but they give 161 pieces in total (only 3 pieces extra) of which 9 pieces are totally damaged. So I had no choice but to use 6 pieces of damaged parts to complete this set :(.

I purposely assemble all 6 defective parts next to each other on one side and this is how it looks like. :(. The "chain" can still rotate but it looks ugly.
I wish to order this part from Bricklink but the price is too ridiculous. I really wish Decool fix this matter soon in the later batch. be more generous. give extra 10 or 20's of this part wont hurt them.

Do not be surprised. Batman from this set is the third expensive after Batman from SDCC 2011 ($400.00) and SDCC 2014 ($380.00) :)

DeleteSeeing the links broke my heart. The bane and the gate would have really made the set, shame they did not include it. What so you mean though when you say batman is 400$? He is only 40$ in the pic?
ReplyDeleteHi. SDCC 2011 Batman is black one. I guess it was meant that batman from this set (with 40 USD price) is the third expensive from all batmans.

DeleteSomeone posted that if you make only 75-76 links of the chain (instead of 79 like he said) it would still fit. So maybe you don't have to use the "ugly" parts. Hahaha. Worth a shot.
