Sheng Yuan SY288 Fantastic Four

Everyone has their own opinion on this movie but I just have one comment, I really miss Jessica Alba.. oh, and The Thing should wear pants :D.

I'm okay with all the characters except Mister Fantastic in the white outfit. Is it Future Foundation costume? but i do notice the logo on his torso clearly shows "4" instead of Future Foundation logo.  If you are interested with Future Foundation minifigure, you might interested with Decool's Future Foundation.

Last but not least, how do you like this version of The Thing compared to the old design SY167 or Decool 0143? 

The head sculpt is kinda scary and doesn't look anything near the actual character but you can rotate the head 90 degrees to the left / right. :D

      I'm not very fan of Dargo since they have an inconsistent quality ( I prefer SY), but they are the first releasing minifigs of the new movie :)

    I've buy it ONLY for transparent invisible woman and Reed long legs. Human torch should be black boy, and big fig is terrible.

      Hi @Francisco José. yeah, the invisible woman is a must have. The plastic quality is way better than Dargo or Lele's transparent figure. You wont regret it

    I think this movie flop because the producer/director toyed with the characters especially making the the Human torch black. Fans are forgiving in making Nick fury black, but with the Human Torch? Not this time! - Jpoks

      ahaha. when talking about the cast of characters and super heroes, I was reminded of Will Smith. one of the reasons he refused superman character because he does not want to mess with the history/origin of Superman. haha.. good guy WS

      Hi @magazine.senshi. ahaha :). yeah, you wont regret getting the transparent minifig. I think the transparent plastic is wayyy better than the one used by Lele and Dargo

    I swapped human torch head with James Rhodes and painted hair on his head. I Painted over the thing's pants his rock color, and gave the human torch flame on his old torso from the original SY set, because the movie version does not have the 4. Another mod I did was gave doom a green hood and a green trench coat. Oh and I bought an extra Future F. Mr. Fantastic and gave the streched one a decool torso.

      Nice. So the Thing originaly didn't have any pants?
      Oh btw wanted to ask what paints do you use?
      I try to make custom figures myself, I use acrylic paints and, well, nail polish.

      I use applebarrel and citadel paints. The thing no pants version took a lot of mixing before i was satisfied with the color match. Nail polish is good to remove printing, but don't use it for paint as it easily chips. I use sharpened toothpicks to paint lines, as well as the occasional q-tip for fat lines on big figs. Hope this helps. :)

      Haha, btw I use toothpicks too, but they don't last long. I tried to use old pen with thin tip - I put it in paint like a brush and draw thin lines. Works little bit better that toothpicks.
      Also there are acrylic pens for nail art, which can also be helpful. I've ordered several to try.
      Do you apply some sort of top coat on paint? I know there are such coats for acryl to strengthen the paint, but I haven't tried it yet.

      @mybrickstore.blogspot glad I could inspire. If you have any extra cyborg heads, just swap out the old human torch head.

      @bats bats I normally don't do minifigure like that, but whenever you paint something, I usually brasso off the printing or sand it off as the paint sticks easier. This is not necessary but I usually spray clear spray paint over a big figure to make it shine. I usually don't do that with minifigure unless I 100% hand paint it. But don't ask me to much about minifgures. In the lego community I am known for making marvel big figures by sculpting it, and then I cast it in resin, hand paint them, and then sell them for low prices to the people who want one. I have done that with collosus and hulkpool so far. If you want me to recommend you to some of my friends who customize minifigure like a pro, I can give you their e-mails
