Lego's San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Rocket Raccoon Warbird

Hey guys! Look at my Lego SDCC Rocket Raccoon. I'm soooooo lucky to have it plus at really good price =)

Nah, just kidding =p

The box size is 9.5 inch x 7.5inch x 2.2 inch. Looks exclusive enough to me. lol

The printed manual in booklet form:

front cover, first and last page, back cover

Took me less than 20 minutes to assemble it:

View from top;

The wing is adjustable. This is the maximum angle i can spread it out

The plastic is good, however some parts are easily fall off. Please refer those parts that i circled in red below.

I might use kragle anytime soon to make it permanent lol.

I can't believe this day has finally came. The quality of the minifigure is realllly bad. I already noticed this when reviewing their latest super heroes set 0192 - 0197 (link - please refer Lego Bane figure).

I can't remember since when their quality is questionable but as far as i can remember, their Guardians of The Galaxy minifigures set is quite good, with dual sided faces and all (link)

Please refer few spot that i circled in red below. I don't know what to say. Maybe Sheng Yuan is getting better or Decool simply becoming worse.

Anyway, i got my red suit RR from this polybag:

This is the extra parts. Some parts are not even used in the original Lego set. I'm not sure why Decool include them.

This is how the box image looks like for the original Lego set. Have a look at the price too O_o

    1. hey buddy. thanks for visiting my blog =). one of the reason i keep posting stuff about these bootleg Lego figures is to keep track of my spending lol. my son also love to mix parts of the minifigures from one theme to another so when i need to restore them, i just need to refer them to this page.

anyway, i really appreciate your visit to this blog =)

    2. I had exactly the same spare parts. I think many people moan about the fakes. But I live here in Thailand, and this set was about 200 baht (£4 or $6) - so price very good compared to Lego original. Wife wife works all week for about £75 ($110) as a teacher. Lego serously need to adjust prices here !! Can you imagine spending two months salary on a Simpsons house or something ! I know Lego fanatics - my kids love to play with them - I buy Lego product, but these cheapo's really keep the kids happy after a long day at the market.

    2. Maybe , you bad luck get bad printing

    3. Well I always thought Sheng yuan was the best brand. Their figures have joints that are easier to play with than decool and they have less printing mistakes.

    4. i agree with you now. one of my friend bought Decool's Tony Stark from minifigure set number 0160 and here's the figure looks like:

i got mine in October last year and the quality is superb: http://mybrickstore.blogspot.com/2014/10/3rd-wave-decool-iron-man-set-of-9.html

    5. the printed ark reactor on his front torso is badly aligned. =(

    6. Decool usually has sharper and thinner printing than SY, however, they always have one or two blotches, while SY usually has a perfect figure.

  5. I really like your blog!!! Besides I also got really bad decool minifigs these days. I got the movie version catwoman, and there were black marks below her mouth!!! And the mouth was fading OMG! They were a lot better before as I remember...anyway keep up the good work I love it! :)

    1. Hey there =)

That's why some people buy more than one so they can swap the parts. It's doable if the price is right but they (Decool) seriously need to do something. It's not the same Decool as before.

  6. Yea pity the bad printing and sometimes bad joints and plastic. But acceptable quality sometimes. You won't know which batch you get, just luck I guess.

Good luck to us all :)

    1. It' like they overwork the machine or don't do proper maintenance hence the poor output =(

  7. Revisiting this post and I see the enlarged photo of the bricks. The white colour bricks for instance, very obvious the colour is inconsistent. One brighter and one slightly beige. Poor bricks quality judging from the photos.

    1. I agree with you, the white parts look yellowish. now i cannot unsee them

  8. I finally got this myself. I think Decool is doing much better on the color. SY's version of Warbird the orange part is yellow. I saw a lot of dents in the brick pieces too. Oh well, what do you expect for knock offs. hahaha...At least I don't have to shell out 200 bucks for this. :D
