Decool 7112 The Batwing

I do not believe this is my first post for this year. haha. Happy new year guys!  Time passes so fast :(. It's already in the third week of January and here's my first post for 2016 (^_^)". I have some knock-off LEGO minifigure sets (that are no longer up to date) for review. It's very unfortunate because I had taken pictures  of them to share with you guys but due to time constraints (200% because of work stuff), those pictures just stranded in my laptop.

However, I am sure all of you have something to look forward to (or more precisely, an updated list of items to be purchased this year haha). I myself eyeing for Ghostbuster HQ (Firehouse Headquarters 75827), Brick Bank 10251, mighty micros Marvel super heroes (you know I'm only interested with the minifigures haha), and all DC and Marvel 2016 Super Heroes set. Star Wars The Force Awaken LEGO set? Hmm, i'll pass that. I will buy Lepin's instead :P

 My want-to-buy list is a nightmare. I still have a lot of 2015 Lego set to complete but now I am planning to buy 2016 set. uh, not to mention my other collection that I try to keep up such as 2016 6" Star Wars Black Series figure and Tomica :(. They are not cheap considering the weakening Malaysia Ringgit  (RM) day by day. my wallet is bleeding. I think I should attend some sort of money management courses (^_^)"..

 Anyway, here's my quick post for today. I've decided to less talk. more pics instead. This imitation by Decool is the exact copy of Lego #7782 The Batwing: The Joker's Aerial Assault.




The original Lego set was released in 2006, with 517 parts. Obviously the difference in the number of pieces is for the helicopter. The current price for this set is between $ 250 and $ 550. phew.



As you can see, there's 3 minifigures in this orignal set by LEGO; grey-suited Batman, The Joker and henchman minifigures.. but we won't get henchman from Decool's :(

Cover image of the manual booklet. Look at the rear page! There's catalogue of past/future Decool release! Wow.. 7111 is for the tumbler. cannot wait to have that :).

Unfortunately Decool give us different variant of Joker (Joker with Lime Vest) from newer sets released in 2012-2015.  As for Batman, they got the right torso but different face/cowl from original LEGO figure.

Decool 7105 Tumbler (imitation of #7888 The Tumbler: Joker's Ice Cream Surprise), Decool 7112 Batwing (imitation of #7782 The Batwing: The Joker's Aerial Assault) and Decool 7108 Bat-Tank (imitation of Lego #7787 The Bat-Tank: The Riddler and Bane's Hideout) in one picture :). I need to fork out at least $500 if i want to build all these with original LEGO parts. 

 Actual cost here: $70.


I know some of you have a way to contact Decool to propose a set of interest to be produced. I hope you can get them to produce this :P.

No, i'm not kidding. please persuade them to issue this batpod. Only 750 units were produced  and the price on ebay will make your eyes pop out.

Even sourcing the parts separately will make its cost $ 399.99? This is outrageous.

    Hi. Almost all of currencies are weakened to dollar.
    Batwing is really nice. I think I'm gonna order when the dollar will be less expensive.
    How big is it exactly? Looks gigantic.
    Btw finnaly have found shop on Aliexpress that sells spare parts separately (hairs, weapons, construction parts). I wonder is it possible to assemble something from those spare parts? Not batpod ofc as it's details look way too specific.

      @Batsy Bats; this batwing is hugeeeeeee.. found this detail when i look for some pic of the original LEGO = "it measures 10" (25cm) wide and 15" (38cm) long".. I love it very much :)

      No offence, but the Bat-tank price is stated at the beginning of the Battank review. You could've look into it yourself as the link is in the text.

      Also 70$ is the price for the set of tumblr, bat-tank and batwing.

      Considering prices in RM remember that Legostore My byus it at local shop that seem to bring bricks directly from China in big shipments. And the prices are pretty low because of that. If you're going to use Aliexpress or smething else, prices for you will be higher in any case.

      Batwing without Original box costs about 21$ at Ali btw.

      Thanks again @Batsy Bats :). Perhaps because I have no fixed format when reviewing stuff hence it raised confusion among readers ahaha..

      This is the price for all three sets from the seller with the highest rating order on aliexpress.

      All 3 will cost you about $70.

      i myself got them at RM60 (Batwing) + RM80 (Bat Tank) + RM50 (Tumbler) = RM190. That's about US$45 with current exchange rate. That's why i rather wait to buy these stuff locally because it's cheaper than buying on Aliexpress. but the drawback is that I had to wait longer than others :(.

    come on... there is not such thing, people discover knock-offs everyday, so they're really not up to date neither and maybe the set they want is among your unpublished reviews...

      hi guys :)..

      The tumbler are made out of over 1800 pieces.. i'm interested with the price tag haha..

      anyway, have you heard any rumors if any of these knock-off brand will issue Batpod?
      It's only 311 pieces. im sure they can imitate this set in an instant

    Hi, thanks for posting this. I have been wanting to buy this set but hesitanted as I don't have much confident on decool brick quality (don't think SY will be releasing this set soon). How would you rate this set? Did you have to glue pieces together? Is there any damage piece? or pieces that don't fit together? Or even missing piece?

      Decool has decent brick quality. I've bought tumbler and it was easy to assemble, all part fit well, none missing.
      Missing, broken and loose pieces are usually described in reviews (see Bat tank review). So probably there were no issues.
      Anyway if you aren't going to use parts anywhere else you can really glue them.

      And the last. Shen Yuan has already issued Batwing. It is mentioned here in bootleg list: SY307 Batwing Part of Imitation Lego set 6863

      Hi @Batsy Bats thanks :).

      @anonymous. what @Batsy Bats said was true. as far as i could remember, Decool's dark age is over. Their worst set (for me) is 7107 (SDCC's Rocket Raccoon Warbird) with misalign print on RR's torso, loose brick for the spaceship and a lot of excess/unnecessary parts. At that time, Decool is one of the leading brands so i was very disappointed with 7107 quality. For Bat-tank, the technic "chain" part is really fragile and unfortunately mine come with many damaged links :(. luckily i found the same part from Senbao weapon pack and now my bat tank was fixed.

      anyway just to update on this batwing.

      after a few days test by my 2 little kiddos, i noticed these two parts begin to loose.

      No big deal actually. As always, the best solution is to use glue :).

      anyway.. just a quick highlight:

      Decool 7112's Batwing is direct imitation of LEGO #7782
      Sheng Yuan's SY307 is copy of LEGO #6863.

      if I'm not mistaken, i do have SY307 but still unassembled lol. allow me to use image/video on youtube for the size comparison:
