Sheng Yuan SY208; Black Bolt, Magneto, Dr. Doom, Jean Grey

If you want to collect another variant of Magneto, Dr.Doom, Black Bolt and Jean Grey, this set is a must have.

They mistakenly label Black Bolt with "Black Flash" lol.

Magneto in this set is definitely when he's young, from Days of Future Past movie. (same color of helmet and cape)

The rest of the figures come from comic >_<. correct me if i'm wrong =p

The minifigures are superb - both plastic and printing quality but as for the bricks, phew! You need A LOT of patience to assemble it. You can point the gun turret upside down and rotate it but the bricks to hold that part kinda loose/easily fall off from its place.

The color and design looks nice but you might want to glue the loose parts =)

Dargo Lego Super Heroes Set of 8

I've heard about this brand before.. but previously they issued the same figure that SY, Decool and Lele already imitate. So, i just ignored them. However these newly released figure by them (Dargo) caught my attention:

Characters in these set:
- Wolverine
- Ghost Rider
- Snake Eyes
- Iron fist
- Bane
- Storm Shadow
- Silver Surfer
- Martian Manhunter

I'm not sure if the nickname for some of the character really exist or it's from parallel universe. Bane also known as "Bain" lol.

The box is bigger than the usual box the usual lego minifigure (by SY, Decool or Lele) come with. One of Decool's Iron Man Mark 1 box for scale.

Not sure why they use bigger box. No doubt that all these stuff will fit nicely in average size minifigure box.

I'm very disappointed with this set. I think Dargo wanna move a step ahead by offering new character that no other brand issued before but the quality of these figures is not acceptable. The plastic is soft so it's very fragile - parts easily detached from the torso. yup, everything - headpiece, arm, hand. I'm not sure if this brand is any better than JLB.

Not only the accessories is not relevant/complete, but also the printing quality on the torso/leg assembly sucks big time. Have a look at this Silver Surfer. Figure on the right is from SY's Fantastic Four (link). 

SY's figure has better colour and at least come with surfer board. Click on the picture and see for yourself details of printed design on Dargo's torso.

Initially i'm super excited to have Ghost Rider, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow but i revise my expectation. Ghost Rider don't come with any chain and the headpiece doesn't fit the character. I think Dargo should use grey coloured head piece (skull pattern) combined with flaming transparent-red  hairpiece. Found this image of Lego Ghost Rider in Brickipedia:

I don't want to comment anything on wolverine. I don't know why he's wearing lipstick. =(

I would like to keep Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes (some of my fav charatcer in G.I Joe) but look at Storm Shadow's torso: =(

From these 8 figures, Dargo imitate 2 of them from Lego. I have original lego  Iron Fist to compare (original Lego on right) but i don't have Bane from Batman 1.

So, what do you think about this set? will you get them too?
